Job Description

A company in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, is seeking an experienced Sales Accountant to monitor daily sales transactions, maintain accurate financial records, reconcile sales data, review invoices and collections, and prepare regular sales reports.

The successful candidate will coordinate with sales teams, branches and the finance department to ensure the accuracy of financial information and compliance with established accounting procedures.

Candidates with previous sales accounting experience in the retail or food sector and familiarity with ERP-Odoo systems will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

1. Daily Sales Monitoring & Recording

• Monitor daily sales activities and transactions.
• Record sales information accurately in accounting systems.
• Verify sales records against supporting documentation.
• Ensure sales transactions are properly reflected in company records.
• Maintain accurate daily sales information.

2. Invoice, Revenue & Collection Review

• Review sales invoices and related documentation.
• Verify recorded revenue and collections.
• Monitor outstanding collection-related information.
• Identify inconsistencies in sales and collection records.
• Coordinate with relevant departments to resolve discrepancies.

3. Sales Reconciliation

• Match sales transactions with accounting records and system data.
• Reconcile sales information across relevant records.
• Identify financial differences and reporting discrepancies.
• Investigate unmatched transactions.
• Support timely correction of identified differences.

4. Sales Reporting & Financial Analysis

• Prepare daily sales reports.
• Prepare monthly sales reports.
• Analyze sales-related financial data.
• Maintain accurate reporting schedules.
• Support management and finance teams with relevant sales information.

5. Covenant, Collection & Financial Difference Follow-Up

• Follow up on assigned covenants or financial accountabilities.
• Monitor collection records.
• Identify and report financial differences.
• Coordinate resolution of outstanding discrepancies.
• Maintain supporting financial documentation.

6. Multi-Branch Coordination

• Coordinate with sales personnel.
• Communicate with branch teams regarding sales records.
• Work closely with the finance department.
• Follow up on financial information across multiple branches.
• Support accurate and timely submission of branch sales information.

7. Financial Accuracy & Compliance

• Ensure accuracy of entered financial data.
• Follow established accounting and financial procedures.
• Maintain organized accounting documentation.
• Identify errors in financial records.
• Support consistent financial reporting practices.

Candidate Requirements

Educational Qualification

University degree in:

• Accounting; or
• Finance.

Professional Experience

• Previous experience in sales accounting.
• Experience in the retail or food sector is preferred.
• Ability to manage accounting requirements involving multiple branches.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of accounting systems.
• Strong financial data analysis skills.
• High level of accuracy.
• Experience with ERP-Odoo systems is preferred.
