Job Description

An experienced MEP Coordinator is required to supervise and coordinate Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) operations for a project, ensuring effective maintenance service delivery, quality standards and compliance.

The successful candidate will oversee on-site MEP activities, conduct routine building inspections, troubleshoot technical issues, supervise maintenance personnel and maintain accurate operational reports, schedules and documentation.

The position requires extensive experience in HVAC, electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems, along with strong knowledge of preventive, corrective, condition-based and proactive maintenance practices in commercial buildings.

Key Responsibilities

1. MEP Operations & Site Coordination

• Supervise and coordinate MEP activities at the project site.
• Monitor daily execution of mechanical, electrical and plumbing work.
• Coordinate maintenance activities to ensure timely completion.
• Oversee operational requirements related to MEP services.
• Ensure quality and compliance during service execution.

2. Building Inspection & Technical Monitoring

• Conduct routine inspections of building MEP installations.
• Identify and report mechanical, electrical and plumbing issues.
• Monitor the operational condition of building equipment.
• Escalate maintenance concerns requiring technical attention.
• Coordinate corrective actions where necessary.

3. Technical Troubleshooting

• Troubleshoot technical issues involving MEP systems.
• Coordinate resolution of HVAC, electrical, mechanical and plumbing faults.
• Support maintenance teams in identifying equipment problems.
• Follow up on technical issues until appropriate resolution.
• Maintain communication with relevant technical personnel.

4. Maintenance Team Supervision

• Supervise daily activities of maintenance staff.
• Coordinate technical work assignments.
• Monitor execution of assigned maintenance activities.
• Support efficient workforce utilization.
• Ensure maintenance personnel follow applicable procedures.

5. Maintenance Planning & Execution

The candidate must possess sound knowledge of:

• Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM): Scheduled maintenance to maintain equipment reliability.
• Corrective Maintenance: Maintenance performed to address identified faults.
• Condition-Based Maintenance: Maintenance based on equipment condition and performance.
• Proactive Maintenance: Activities intended to identify and address potential equipment issues before failure.

Experience must cover MEP installations and equipment in commercial buildings.

6. Reporting, Scheduling & Documentation

• Prepare reports relating to MEP service delivery.
• Maintain maintenance schedules.
• Update relevant operational documentation.
• Record maintenance activities and technical issues.
• Coordinate reporting requirements with relevant management personnel.

Mandatory Candidate Requirements

Education

Degree or Diploma in:

• Mechanical Engineering.
• Electrical Engineering.
• Related technical field.

Technical Experience

Minimum 8 years of combined experience involving:

• HVAC systems.
• Electrical installations.
• Mechanical plants and equipment.
• Plumbing systems.
• Commercial building MEP equipment.

Supervisory Experience

Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience is mandatory.
